Kerry Jenness is the First Assistant City Solicitor in the City of Lowell Law Department. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, her M.A. in English Literature from Indiana University (Bloomington), and her B.A. from Georgetown University, magna cum laude, with a major in English and a minor in Women’s Studies. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Ms. Jenness has worked in legal and corporate management capacities at a number of Fortune 500 companies prior to focusing on her municipal legal practice, which has included serving as the City Solicitor for the City of Methuen and as outside counsel to various Massachusetts cities, towns, and school departments. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Coalition for a Better Acre.
