The City of Lowell’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program has released updated guidelines for the FY2026–27 funding cycle. Administered through the Department of Planning and Development, the CDBG program provides federal funding for projects and activities that benefit low- to moderate-income households and support community development priorities across the city.
CDBG funds may be used to support a wide range of eligible activities, including public services, housing programs, public facilities improvements, and economic development initiatives that meet federal program requirements and national objectives.
Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the updated guidelines, eligibility criteria, funding priorities, and application materials now available on the City’s website. While the required applicant information session has already taken place, all application resources and submission instructions are posted online.
