Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the Fox Building is located at 190 Middlesex Street. Built in 1884, it is a fine example of a Queen Anne style Lowell commercial building. Important details include paneled brick decoration and a decorative granite cornice. Much of its original storefront is intact including brick and grooved cast iron piers.
The building is also located within the National Register-listed
Lowell National Historical Park & Preservation District as well as the
Downtown Lowell Historic District under the design review and permitting jurisdiction of the Lowell Historic Board.
